Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the day to day assembly operations across multiple facilities to ensure that production and quality standards are being met or exceeded.
- Serving as the go-to expert for troubleshooting and rectifying electrical and mechanical issues with carts/vehicles uncovered during the assembly process or identified during the final inspection.
- Consistently monitor and maintain an adequate parts stock, implementing processes and procedures to streamline Parts operations.
- Develop, and implement a dealership training program and serve as a resource for the dealer network pertaining to troubleshooting and service capabilities.
- Streamline processes and procedures in the production environment, with the goal of enhancing efficiency and product quality.
- Work closely with QC teams, and provide guidance to them, implementing in house training and a PDI checklist.
- Lead, coach, and motivate production and service personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Travel as needed to facilities and dealer locations to oversee operations and provide technical support and training.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Service Management or as a Lead Technician/Shop Foreman in a high volume shop or service operation, preferably in the retail setting. Experience with an OEM or in a similar operation would be considered, providing there is Powersports, golf cart, or LSV or similar vehicle experience.
- This person must have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, this is mandatory. Experience with LSVs, PTVs, golf carts, side by sides, and dump carts are preferred.
- Must be capable of managing people, developing teams, and improving operational processes.
- Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing training programs, particularly for technical service teams.
- Must be capable of meeting or exceeding production and quality standards and improving all aspects of inventory management pertaining to Parts.
- Must have a strong background in developing and implementing processes and procedures related to enhancing production efficiency and ensuring product quality prior to transit and arriving to the consumer.
- Although this is not a “startup” in its purest form, having the experience of getting a similar operation off of the ground would be beneficial, but is not required.
- Must reside in the Southeastern US, ideally in the Tampa, Florida or neighboring area. Must be willing to travel regularly to different facilities and dealer locations.
- This person must also have a deep understanding of the Powersports industry, ideally with a particular emphasis on service and production within an LSV, SxS, or golf cart assembly/service operation.
