The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking experienced RV Technicians who are understanding and accepting of the benefit of working on a flat rate compensation structure. Ideally this person has experience with all types of repairs and service actions with all types of recreational vehicles, including class A motorhomes, and shows an aptitude to learn and adapt to what they don't know. Their service facilities are world class, they have strong service leadership, and they are in the process of implementing continuing education opportunities for Technicians. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform all pre-delivery inspections, maintenance service work, and repairs, as needed on factory and aftermarket components on dealership and customer units. (No Mechanical)
  • Perform repairs and service work on all components inside and outside of the vehicle.
  • This consists of but not limited to: Appliances, 12V electrical, 120V electrical, inverters, converters, solar systems, propane systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, HVAC, slide outs, leveling jacks, awnings, audio video systems, flooring, roofs, doors, exterior/ interior sides, carpentry, plumbing, furniture, vents, windows, and more.
  • Diagnose repair and service work as needed and properly document recommendations and parts required on all repair orders.
  • Maintain accuracy of repair orders with correct repair times, accurate notes, and materials used
  • Inform Service Advisor / Service Manager of any hidden damages found and keep them informed on service timelines, parts delays, etc.
  • Ensure final work product meets quality standards, and is done right the first time
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and coworkers
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an RV Technician in the dealership or dedicated service facility setting
  • Must be capable of effective troubleshooting and diagnosis on all classes of RVs, systems, components, and appliances
  • Must have basic experience in relevant trades: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, etc.
  • Certified Technicians preferred, but not required - RVTI, RVTAA, RVDA, etc., also OEM, component, and appliance training is a major plus.
  • Experience with servicing and repairing motorcoach variety of RVs of all classes, in all aspects
  • Chassis & axel experience is preferred
  • Must have a basic understanding of the warranty process, what needs to be done to maximize reimbursement, and the relationship between Parts and Service
  • Must be comfortable and capable of engaging customers in a professional manner, resolving conflict, and elevating the customer experience through effective communication
  • Must be self motivated and capable of keeping yourself on task, and driving efficiency
  • Must maintain a professional image and be an effective written and verbal communicator
