Product Engineer – North Carolina - Recreational Boat Manufacturer

Location – North Carolina (Not a remote opportunity, relocation assistance available)

Essential Job Functions:

  • Design and engineer products that enhance value while meeting industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to exceed project expectations.
  • Engineer functional areas across multiple projects and maintain a 3D master model for Digital Mockup (DMU).
  • Lead the definition and approval of vendor and fiberglass parts.
  • Work with the Materials Team to develop quality components.
  • Coordinate engineering phases, ensuring part fit and securing necessary approvals.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide creative solutions to manufacturing challenges.
  • Assist with engineering changes, model year updates, and BOM creation and maintenance throughout engineering phases.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (NX or Rhino3D preferred).
  • Willingness to take on additional tasks as needed to support departmental goals.
  • Preferably 2-3 years of experience in the marine industry.
