Position Summary:

Take your expertise in composites to the next level as a Fiberglass Manufacturing Engineer, where you'll play a hands-on role in developing and improving lamination processes for high-quality boat manufacturing. From new model development to continuous improvement initiatives, you'll work directly with engineering and production teams to optimize composite materials, streamline manufacturing processes, and enhance product performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and integrate fiberglass lamination and core systems, ensuring quality and manufacturability.
  • Develop 2D and 3D CAD models, create CNC part files, and generate engineering documentation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to refine materials, components, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Troubleshoot lamination quality issues, identify process improvements, and support production teams.
  • Oversee first-article parts, engineering change notices, and system validations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Composite, Ocean, or Marine Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-5 years of experience in boat lamination or composite manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Rhino, NX, SolidWorks, Catia, or Pro E).
  • Hands-on experience with composite fabrication and vacuum infusion processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a production environment.
  • Willingness to travel (minimum 10%).
