Our client is a privately owned and highly respected RV dealership with multiple rooftops in the Northeast and Midwest regions of the US. Their newest store is located in Eastern Pennsylvania, and they are committed to the expansion of this business, and the growth of the organization as a whole. The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable, self-driven, and customer-focused Parts Manager to oversee all aspects of the Parts Department, including over-the-counter sales and parts to service. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of management experience in a high-volume Parts operation, or 5 years in a non-management capacity, preferably at an RV dealership. This person should be adept at implementing and refining processes to increase profitability, improve customer satisfaction, and develop a cohesive, and high-performing team. This is most definitely a working Parts Manager role, and not a desk job. This is an excellent opportunity to leverage your existing knowledge of Parts operations while contributing to the continued growth and success of a highly respected dealership at their newest location.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute on a plan to achieve budgeted parts and accessories sales volume, gross margin, and efficiency targets
  • Monitor and adjust pricing to maintain profitability and competitive market positioning
  • Control inventory levels to minimize shrinkage and obsolescence while improving inventory turns
  • Manage open purchase orders and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and prevent aging
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to negotiate pricing and secure adequate support for the department
  • Ensure receiving processes are efficient and timely, including special orders and accurate inventory receiving
  • Establish and maintain retail and PDI processes that provide a high level of customer service and meet sales goals
  • Develop and enforce SOPs to improve efficiency and ensure consistent, high-quality service
  • Recruit, train, and provide coaching and regular feedback to continually improve individual and team performance
  • Set and manage employee performance goals
  • Foster a positive, team-focused work environment aligned with the company’s values
  • Resolve customer complaints quickly and professionally
  • Communicate effectively with the Service Department to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of parts orders

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working the Parts counter, or 3 years of experience as a Parts Manager in the dealership setting. RV industry experience is strongly preferred, but Marine, Powersports, Outdoor Power Equipment, and Automotive will be considered
  • Must be familiar with over the counter parts sales, and parts to service
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, pricing strategies, and profit planning
  • Experience negotiating with vendors and managing supplier relationships
  • Experience developing and implementing processes and procedures for a Parts department
  • Must be willing and able to do PDI's, and the ideal candidate will be able to upsell
  • Must have a thorough understanding of dealership operations, including the Parts, Service, and Warranty departments
  • Must be detail-oriented, customer-centric, and professional in appearance, behavior, and communication
  • Must be computer literate, and have experience with dealer management systems (DMS)
