Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish, enforce, and update proper safety procedures and policies for all training
  • Ensure training program preparations including setup of training aids, targets, ammunition, and visual aids
  • Collaborate on training schedules and share information across departments
  • Interface with customers to inform and educate about training programs
  • Plan, develop, and evaluate training courses for range safety officers and trainers
  • Hire, train, and evaluate training staff
  • Maintain training equipment and cleanliness of facilities
  • Create and maintain safety standards, curriculum, schedules, SOPs, reports, and records
  • Perform duties as an instructor for any course offered
  • Maintain and enhance professional development and apply new skills to training
  • Provide excellent customer service and support the learning experience
  • Assist in strategy development and recommend improvements
  • Review and refresh training curriculum in line with industry best practices


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a trainer or instructor on firearms and tactics
  • Prior instructor experience in Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun
  • Knowledge of training design, development, and implementation best practices
  • Firearms Instructor certifications preferred
  • 5+ years of Military experience in a combat MOS; Special Operations experience preferred
  • Instructor Development Course attendance with focus on adult learning theory
  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • High-level project management skills and ability to meet deadlines and budgets
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
