The Opportunity:
A storied name in American manufacturing is seeking a skilled and driven Manufacturing Engineer to join its precision engineering and CNC fabrication team at its advanced production facility in the Southeast. This individual will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and refining CAD/CAM processes to support high-performance component manufacturing in a modern, technology-forward environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering principles, a passion for automation and process improvement, and hands-on familiarity with 3D-model-centric CAM applications. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine CAD/CAM/CMM/AUTO processes to accelerate component manufacturing using modern tools and systems, focusing on productivity gains.
  • Offer technical guidance to Application Engineering for process optimization and design transition.
  • Lead automation of program generation across CAD/CAM platforms, post processors, CMMs, and robotic interfaces.
  • Support production teams in resolving processing challenges and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate, justify, and deploy capital equipment projects and explore efficiency technologies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required.
  • Experience with automated CAD/CAM process solutions.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and model-centric workflows.
  • Working knowledge of C, C++, or similar programming languages.
  • Ability to generate CNC toolpaths from 3D CAD models.
  • Skilled in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to define/refine product processes for manufacturability.
  • Effective communication and instruction-following skills.
  • Team-oriented and capable of independent work across departments.
  • Reliable attendance, with availability for overtime/weekend work.
  • Willing to travel up to 5% for training, equipment, or support.
