We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Sales to lead, grow, and innovate the company’s approach and continued leadership in their marine division. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and evolve the vision and go-to-market strategy aligned with company objectives
- Drive new business development and market expansion efforts
- Lead and manage the Sales team with performance-driven leadership
- Oversee sales planning, execution, and pipeline development
- Direct P&L strategy, including pricing and margin improvements
- Collaborate with Marketing on targeted campaigns and promotions
- Build and maintain key customer relationships
- Evaluate and improve sales processes and tools
- Mentor and develop sales talent; manage resource needs
- Monitor competitive trends and adjust strategies accordingly
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with key departments
- Champion a data-driven culture with KPI and customer insights
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
- 10+ years of sales leadership experience in the marine wholesale industry
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role with strategic and operational oversight
- Proven experience in P&L management and cross-functional leadership
- Track record of growing sales teams and expanding into new markets
- Strong understanding of the marine industry, its OEMs, and wholesale distribution models
- Excellent strategic, analytical, and financial skills
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
- Experience leading geographically dispersed teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; CRM tools a plus
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Must live in the eastern half of the country or be willing to relocate
