The Opportunity:

As the Business Development Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of building new revenue streams, forging strategic partnerships, and creating alliances that set the standard for the industry. From securing major dealer and distributor accounts to driving OEM collaborations and cross brand partnerships across companies in the wider industry, you’ll be empowered to innovate and execute bold strategies that drive exponential growth. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify, onboard, and grow relationships with tactical gear dealers, distributors, and retail partners across the U.S.
  • Drive both sell-in (B2B) and sell-through (B2C) performance through business planning, merchandising, and marketing initiatives.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and promotional agreements while maintaining brand integrity and positioning.
  • Develop and manage strategic alliances with complementary brands for joint campaigns, product bundles, and events.
  • Identify cross-promotion and partnership opportunities to expand reach and brand value.
  • Represent the brand at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions.
  • Build and manage relationships with OEM partners purchasing manufacturing services.
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Operations to meet OEM partner requirements in design, compliance, and delivery.
  • Expand OEM revenue while balancing branded product strategy.
  • Identify new U.S. markets including law enforcement, outdoor, and defense-adjacent retail.
  • Provide market intelligence on competitors, customer needs, and industry trends.
  • Partner with Marketing to build U.S.-specific demand generation and brand strategies.
  • Deliver accurate forecasts, pipeline reports, and account insights.
  • Track KPIs such as new account acquisition, OEM revenue growth, channel performance, and partnership ROI.
  • Work with logistics to ensure seamless fulfillment for OEM and branded accounts.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in business development, channel sales, or account management, ideally in tactical gear, outdoor, sporting goods, or defense-related industries.
  • Proven ability to build dealer/distributor networks and grow OEM partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of B2B2C sales dynamics (dealer sell-in and consumer sell-through).
  • Well-connected within the tactical nylon and broader firearms industry
  • Experienced negotiator with a history of closing strategic collaborations and long-term contracts.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to identify opportunities and deliver results.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with experience at trade shows and events.
  • CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the U.S. and 2–3 times per year internationally.
