A leading powersports and marine dealer in the Upper Midwest who has been in business for over 30 years. They are the largest and oldest powersports and marine dealer in their area, operating from more than 60,000 square feet of facilities on 14 acres. The company represents a premium lineup of powersports and marine brands and is dedicated to its core values of Teamwork, Customer Focus, Accountability, and a Positive Attitude.

The Opportunity:
The General Manager is responsible for leading the powersports division's financial performance and overall operations, including sales, service, parts, and finance departments. This role focuses on driving the dealership's growth, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational excellence across all departments.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve the dealership's short-term and long-term goals.
  • Oversee daily operations across all departments, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the dealership's management team and staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability, and make adjustments to operations as needed.
  • Ensure the dealership complies with all industry regulations and standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and other key industry partners.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring high-quality service delivery across all departments.
  • Identify market opportunities and emerging trends to position the dealership competitively.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of proven experience in a leadership role within the recreational, marine, RV or powersports industries.
  • Strong understanding of dealership operations, including sales, service, parts, and finance functions.
  • Excellent leadership, team-building, and personnel development skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective business strategies.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and fostering long-term relationships.
