The Opportunity:
The Apparel Category Manager will own and lead the company’s apparel segment, setting and executing a disciplined, performance-driven strategy rooted in tactical credibility. This role focuses on building mission-critical apparel designed for real-world operational use, serving as the internal authority on apparel direction, product development, and long-term category growth while reinforcing the brand’s reputation for combat-proven performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end apparel category strategy, roadmap, and product lifecycle.
- Define performance and design principles guiding all apparel development.
- Partner with design, development, and sourcing teams to deliver technically sound apparel.
- Ensure apparel solutions meet mission relevance, durability, compliance, and operational needs.
- Translate operator feedback and field testing into product improvements.
- Maintain strict focus on functionality, comfort, and performance over lifestyle trends.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales on accurate product positioning and storytelling.
- Monitor category performance, identify gaps, and prioritize expansion opportunities.
- Serve as a brand ambassador through tradeshows, demos, and client engagement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience owning or leading a technical apparel category in tactical, military, or performance outdoor environments.
- Strong understanding of materials, construction methods, and functional garment systems.
- Experience working cross-functionally with design, development, manufacturing, and sales teams.
- Ability to balance innovation with tactical focus and brand integrity.
- Hands-on, pragmatic mindset with emphasis on real-world performance.
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
