The Opportunity:
This opportunity is ideal for a Marine Service Technician who enjoys make-ready work on new luxury boats in a clean, organized environment and takes pride in high-quality, detail-oriented workmanship. The role is focused on pre-delivery inspections, troubleshooting, and factory equipment installations on new vessels, rather than engine rebuilds or heavy overhaul work. Technicians are responsible for ensuring boats are properly inspected, systems are functioning as intended, and installations meet both factory and dealership standards prior to delivery to ensure an excellent customer experience. A strong emphasis is placed on troubleshooting capabilities, both electrical and mechanical, with particular focus on 12/24-volt DC and 120/240-volt AC systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, accurately documenting work, and contributing to an efficient and professional service operation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-delivery inspections on new boats, ensuring all systems are properly installed, configured, and functioning correctly
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues with a strong emphasis on electrical diagnostics
- Perform factory and dealer-installed equipment installations on new vessels
- Diagnose and service 12/24-volt DC and 120/240-volt AC marine electrical systems
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify, document, and resolve issues efficiently
- Complete digital work orders accurately using tablets, laptops, IDS (DMS), and mobile applications
- Document inspections, findings, repairs, and recommendations clearly and professionally
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure boats meet dealership and manufacturer standards prior to delivery
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members to ensure timely completion of work
- Represent the service department professionally, including customer interaction when required
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional Marine Technician experience
- Strong troubleshooting abilities across mechanical, electrical, and integrated marine systems
- Demonstrated experience working with 12/24-volt DC and 120/240-volt AC electrical systems
- Proven electrical diagnostic and repair capabilities in a marine service environment
- Experience with dealership management systems (DMS); familiarity with IDS strongly preferred
- Comfortable using tablets, laptops, and cell phone–based service applications for diagnostics and documentation
- Ability to document work clearly and follow established service processes
- Professional, detail-oriented, and reliable with a strong sense of accountability
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
- Willing to adhere to a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Pacific)
