The Opportunity:
This role is a senior commercial sales leadership opportunity with national scope, focused on driving growth across the US sporting goods and retail channel. The Commercial Sales Leader will own strategy and execution for key commercial relationships while leading a field-based sales organization and reinforcing a culture of ownership, discipline, and results. Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional partners, this individual will shape go-to-market strategy, influence product positioning, and expand the organization’s footprint across major national and regional retailers. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own national commercial sales strategy for the sporting goods and retail channel, aligning execution with concurrently evolving business objectives
- Lead commercial growth efforts through hands-on relationship development with key partners while reinforcing accountability and execution across all sales resources
- Drive revenue growth across key national and regional retail partners, including accounts such as Bass Pro, Academy Sports, Scheels, Sportsman’s Warehouse, and similar commercial retailers
- Develop and execute annual sales plans, forecasts, and performance reporting in partnership with executive leadership
- Collaborate closely with marketing and product teams on go-to-market initiatives, product launches, retail programs, and in-store support strategies
- Serve as the senior commercial contact for major accounts, negotiations, and strategic channel partnerships
- Analyze sales performance, customer data, and market trends to guide decision-making and refine commercial strategy
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings as a senior sales leader
Qualifications:
- Proven success leading national or multi-region commercial sales efforts within the sporting goods, outdoor, or adjacent retail channels
- Demonstrated experience managing and growing relationships with major national and regional retail accounts, including complex, multi-stakeholder partnerships
- Strong business development background with a track record of driving revenue growth through relationship-based selling and strategic account development
- Experience establishing performance expectations, tracking results, and driving accountability across sales organizations or distributed sales resources
- Ability to develop and execute sales plans, forecasts, and go-to-market strategies aligned with broader business objectives
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence internally and externally
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to guide decision-making
- Highly organized and self-directed, comfortable operating autonomously while collaborating cross-functionally
- Willingness to travel extensively within the US to support customer relationships, industry events, and sales initiatives
