The Executive Director serves as the chief executive leader and is responsible for driving the organization’s strategic growth, revenue generation, brand awareness, and long-term sustainability. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, this individual will lead corporate sponsorship development, expand fundraising initiatives, grow membership engagement, and elevate statewide and national visibility of the organization’s mission and impact. This is a highly visible leadership role requiring a forward-thinking executive who can preserve the legacy and prestige of this organization while positioning the organization for continued financial growth and expanded charitable impact for the next 20+ years.

Our client is a premier 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting schools, youth organizations, humanitarian agencies, trail and forest agency alliances, search and rescue groups, and other vital community-based organizations in the western USA. The organization raises awareness and funding for trails preservation and youth support initiatives while fostering responsible recreation and philanthropy. It is recognized as the longest-running and most prestigious motorcycle charity event in the nation. With a strong legacy of community impact and member engagement, the organization continues to expand its charitable reach through strategic industry partnerships, corporate sponsorships, and a highly respected statewide network.

The Opportunity:
The Executive Director serves as the chief executive leader and is responsible for driving the organization’s strategic growth, revenue generation, brand awareness, and long-term sustainability. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, this individual will lead corporate sponsorship development, expand fundraising initiatives, grow membership engagement, and elevate statewide and national visibility of the organization’s mission and impact. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue growth strategy, including corporate sponsorship expansion, donor cultivation, and diversified fundraising initiatives.
  • Cultivate, secure, and retain strategic corporate sponsors and high-level community and industry partnerships.
  • Serve as the public face and spokesperson, strengthening national brand visibility.
  • Partner with the Board of Directors to define strategic priorities, measurable growth objectives, and long-term sustainability plans.
  • Protect and enhance the prestige and operational excellence of their premier event while providing innovative ideas for additional events.
  • Oversee financial stewardship including budget development, revenue forecasting, compliance with 501(c)(3) regulations, and transparent reporting to stakeholders.
  • Lead and inspire staff, committees, and volunteers by fostering accountability, collaboration, and mission-driven performance.
  • Develop clear performance metrics and reporting frameworks to measure revenue growth, sponsorship performance, community impact, and brand expansion.

Qualifications:
  • Proven executive leadership experience with demonstrated success in revenue generation, sponsorship development, and fundraising growth.
  • Strong background in corporate partnership development and high-level relationship management.
  • Experience working with or reporting to a Board of Directors.
  • Financial acumen with experience overseeing budgets and nonprofit compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional communication, public speaking, and brand representation skills.
  • Prior nonprofit leadership experience preferred; senior-level corporate leadership experience with strong fundraising or sponsorship development background will also be considered.
  • Event management, leadership and administration experience.
  • Experiencing with developing, managing and organizing a volunteer staff.
