The Opportunity:
This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving the sales performance of the company’s newest dealership location as the team and operations are actively being built out. The Sales & Business Manager will oversee desking, trade appraisals, inventory planning, and coordination with service to ensure smooth deal flow, proper reconditioning, and strong deal execution from start to finish, while also managing the store’s finance and insurance responsibilities. In addition, this leader will recruit, train, and coach the sales team while maintaining process discipline and CRM accuracy across the department. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Desk deals and structure unit pricing to ensure profitability and deal integrity
- Oversee deal execution from initial customer commitment through final paperwork and delivery
- Present and sell finance and insurance products including service contracts, protection plans, and related offerings
- Structure and finalize retail finance transactions while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and lender guidelines
- Establish and maintain relationships with lending partners to support competitive financing options for customers
- Monitor sales performance, deviation reports, and weekly metrics to identify opportunities and make timely adjustments
- Appraise trade-ins, establish actual cash values, and coordinate reconditioning estimates
- Hire, train, and coach sales staff to meet production goals and uphold customer service standards
- Manage the inventory plan, adjusting as needed to maximize turn rates and sales potential
- Coordinate with service to ensure timely unit preparation, delivery, and reconditioning
- Maintain internet listings and ensure units are accurately marketed across platforms
- Merchandise inventory for optimal lot and showroom presentation
- Uphold CRM accuracy and maintain accountability for follow-up processes
- Participate in budgeting and long-term sales planning with leadership
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, manufacturers, lenders, and vendors
- Assist with dealership events, marketing initiatives, and customer retention efforts
- Foster communication and alignment with parts, service, and other departments
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of desking, pricing strategy, and overall deal structure
- Working knowledge of retail financing and F&I processes with the ability to present and execute finance and protection product offerings
- Experience appraising trades and managing unit reconditioning
- Demonstrated ability to lead, recruit, and develop a sales team
- Comfortable analyzing reports, identifying trends, and adjusting plans accordingly
- Proficient with CRM and DMS systems; experience with IDS preferred
- Ability to manage and merchandise inventory effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across departments and with customers
- Organized, accountable, and process-driven with strong attention to detail
- Open to learning and applying structured dealership systems and procedures
- Background in RV, automotive, marine, powersports, or related retail industries
- Ability to collaborate effectively with service and fixed operations leadership
