The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a highly entrepreneurial sales leader to take ownership of bringing a new brand and product platform to market for the first time. This role will operate as a true partner to company leadership, responsible for designing and executing the national sales strategy while establishing a high-quality dealer network capable of supporting a premium product in key markets across the US. Unlike sales leadership roles within established manufacturers, this position requires a hands-on builder who is comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical levels—developing distribution strategy, cultivating dealer relationships, refining channel economics, and helping shape the broader commercial roadmap as the organization grows. The individual who steps into this role will have the opportunity to play a central role in the company’s long-term success while helping to define how the brand enters and evolves within the market.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Architect and execute the company’s national sales and distribution strategy, establishing the commercial framework required to successfully introduce a new product platform to the US market
  • Identify, recruit, and cultivate relationships with RV dealership groups and select retail partners across key markets, building a high-quality dealer network aligned with the brand’s premium positioning
  • Lead the company’s dealer development efforts, including partner evaluation, onboarding, and long-term relationship management to ensure strong representation and sustained market growth
  • Design dealer programs, margin structures, and incentive models that create compelling economics for partners while supporting the company’s long-term growth objectives
  • Evaluate and recommend distribution strategies, including dealership partnerships and alternative retail pathways, with a focus on scalability, customer experience, and channel performance
  • Provide ongoing market intelligence and dealer feedback to senior leadership to inform product refinement, pricing strategy, and overall go-to-market planning
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment between product capabilities, brand positioning, and sales execution
  • Represent the company within the broader RV and outdoor recreation ecosystem through dealer visits, trade shows, and industry events to build brand credibility and establish strategic partnerships
  • Support the development and scaling of the company’s sales infrastructure, including the recruitment and leadership of regional sales representation as the business grows
  • Contribute as a strategic partner to the leadership team by helping shape commercial strategy, market entry priorities, and long-term dealer network expansion

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience within the RV, powersports, or adjacent outdoor recreation industries, ideally within a manufacturer, emerging brand, or growth-stage organization
  • Demonstrated success establishing or expanding dealership distribution networks and bringing new products or brands to market within the US
  • Experience launching new products, brands, or platforms within the RV or adjacent industries where market adoption, dealer recruitment, and channel development were built from the ground up
  • Deep working knowledge of RV dealer operations, including partner economics, margin structures, inventory dynamics, and customer purchasing behavior
  • Existing relationships within the RV dealer community, particularly among high-performing dealers serving premium or enthusiast-oriented customer segments
  • Prior experience operating in entrepreneurial, startup, or early-stage business environments where building strategy, infrastructure, and partnerships from the ground up is required
  • Experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies, dealer programs, and channel development initiatives for new or evolving product platforms
  • Strong commercial instincts and business acumen, with the ability to translate market feedback, dealer insights, and customer behavior into actionable business strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product development, marketing, and operations teams to support successful product launches and market adoption
  • Personal enthusiasm for outdoor recreation, emerging technologies, and innovative products shaping the future of travel and adventure
