The Opportunity:
The Managing Director will lead a portfolio of motorsports and outdoor event brands with full P&L responsibility across revenue, marketing, and operations. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving profitability, scaling event performance, and executing both organic and acquisition-driven growth strategies. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own full P&L responsibility across a multi-event portfolio, including revenue growth, cost management, and margin expansion
  • Develop and execute annual operating plans, budgets, and financial strategies
  • Drive revenue across exhibitor sales, sponsorships, and ticketing through pricing strategy and pipeline development
  • Lead cross-functional teams across sales, marketing, and event operations
  • Oversee event strategy, positioning, and portfolio performance across multiple markets
  • Identify opportunities for expansion, new event launches, and acquisition targets
  • Ensure best-in-class execution of all live events, including vendor management and production oversight
  • Establish KPIs, reporting frameworks, and performance tracking across revenue and attendance metrics
  • Build and maintain relationships with key exhibitors, sponsors, and industry stakeholders
  • Lead organizational development, talent recruitment, and team performance management


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in event management, trade shows, experiential marketing, or related industries
  • Proven track record of owning and growing P&L performance across multiple events
  • Strong experience driving exhibitor, sponsorship, and ticket revenue
  • Experience managing multi-event portfolios and scaling event-based businesses
  • Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations)
  • Hands-on operator with strong execution focus and decision-making ability
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to thrive in a mid-sized, growth-oriented organization
  • Industry experience or passion within motorsports, powersports, or outdoor recreation preferred
