Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support firmware, hardware integration, controls development, and calibration infrastructure for advanced powertrain and propulsion systems. This is a unique, full-stack engineering opportunity spanning embedded software, real-time controls, hardware bring-up and PCB integration, communication protocols, PC-based calibration tools, and real-world validation testing. You’ll be involved in designing the entire workflow from firmware ? calibration ? tools ? real world validation testing.

The Opportunity:
Our Client is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support firmware, hardware integration, controls development, and calibration infrastructure for advanced powertrain and propulsion systems. This is a unique, full-stack engineering opportunity spanning embedded software, real-time controls, hardware bring-up and PCB integration, communication protocols, PC-based calibration tools, and real-world validation testing. You’ll be involved in designing the entire workflow from firmware → calibration → tools → real world validation testing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop bare-metal C firmware for automotive-grade MCUs (e.g., NXP S32, ARM, Power Architecture, AURIX)
- Implement peripheral drivers and real-time control loops
- Design and tune algorithms for engine control, BLDC/PMSM control, sensing interfaces, and powertrain subsystems
- Create robust state machines, diagnostics, safety monitors, and calibration hooks
- Work closely with hardware teams to bring up new boards, debug sensor interfaces, and validate timing-critical features
- Support automotive communications including CAN/CAN-FD, Ethernet, XCP, and related tools such as Vector CANape
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Strong proficiency in embedded C and MCU peripheral configuration
- Familiarity with automotive standards and tools (CAN/CAN-FD, XCP, A2L/ASAP2, CANape, DBC files)
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment, debugging tools, and bench setups
- 15+ years of relevant experience
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
