President / General Manager – Pontoon Segment

Our Client:
A leading designer, manufacturer, and marketer of premium recreational marine products. The business represents a strategically important segment with a strong legacy brand, an emerging growth brand, and an established dealer network. Backed by robust infrastructure and investment, the segment is positioned as a high-impact value creation platform with meaningful opportunity for growth, margin expansion, and operational improvement. Reporting directly to CEO.

The Opportunity:
This is a career-defining opportunity for a proven executive to lead a standalone business unit with full P&L ownership and enterprise-level accountability. The President / General Manager will serve as the true business leader, responsible for driving profitable growth, product leadership, commercial execution, and operational excellence in a cyclical market environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Own and drive all financial performance metrics including revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and working capital
  • Develop and execute annual operating plans and long-range strategy
  • Lead pricing, mix optimization, and cost discipline initiatives
  • Serve as the end-to-end leader of the business with full accountability
  • Lead and align cross-functional teams across product, operations, sales, marketing, and finance
  • Build and develop a high-performing leadership team and culture of ownership
  • Define and execute a differentiated, multi-year product roadmap
  • Drive innovation, modernization, and product competitiveness
  • Strengthen dealer network performance, alignment, and profitability
  • Lead go-to-market strategy including pricing, promotions, and product launches
  • Identify and execute opportunities for growth, market share gains, and premiumization
  • Oversee manufacturing, sourcing, and supply chain performance
  • Drive operational efficiency, cost improvement, and quality
  • Partner with finance on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience
  • Must have led a business, division, or operating unit with full P&L ownership and control
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, margin expansion, and operational improvement
  • Experience in marine or adjacent durable goods industries preferred
  • Experience operating in a cyclical, demand-driven environment
  • Deep understanding of financial drivers, cost structure, and profitability levers
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional organizations
  • Strong product instinct and track record of successful innovation
  • Experience with dealer/distribution models
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain dynamics
  • Ownership mindset; hands-on, results-oriented, and highly accountable
