The Opportunity:
This role is responsible for advanced surface finishing, coating application, and mold/tool preparation within a production environment. Working under general supervision, the position ensures high-quality finishes, maintains tooling integrity, and supports efficient production through precision and attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare molds and surfaces for coating, ensuring proper condition and readiness
- Mix and apply coating materials according to specifications and best practices
- Perform precision finishing, including sanding, polishing, and detailing
- Repair structural and cosmetic surface defects to meet quality standards
- Execute color matching and restoration for consistent product appearance
- Support fabrication, maintenance, and repair of molds and tooling
- Operate hand tools and powered equipment safely and effectively
- Inspect tooling and components for fit, alignment, and dimensional accuracy
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly functioning work areas and equipment
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a compliant work environment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to meet production goals
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Several years of experience in surface finishing, coating, or related industrial work
- Experience with mold preparation or tooling strongly preferred
- Familiarity with composites or lamination processes a plus
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work with precision tools
