The Opportunity:
The Fixed Operations Director will be tasked with leading and optimizing all aspects of service, parts, and warranty operations across a multi-store platform, initially focused on two locations with potential for expanded scope. This role is designed for a leader who can bridge strategy and execution, someone who can assess current operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement scalable processes that drive performance. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight of all fixed operations functions across multiple dealership locations, including service, parts, and warranty
- Drive consistency in processes, policies, and performance standards across rooftops to ensure operational alignment and efficiency
- Establish, monitor, and hold teams accountable to key performance indicators (KPIs) related to labor sales, gross profit, absorption rate, parts turns, and overall departmental profitability
- Partner with location-level managers to develop and execute strategies that improve service throughput, technician productivity, and customer satisfaction
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing service, parts, and warranty personnel, while building a strong leadership bench at each store
- Implement training programs and performance management processes to elevate team capability and accountability across all fixed operations functions
- Evaluate current workflows and systems, identifying opportunities to streamline operations, reduce inefficiencies, and improve overall performance
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership and ownership to provide regular reporting, share performance insights, and support data-driven decision making across the organization
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute short- and long-term fixed operations strategies aligned with company growth objectives
- Ensure all locations maintain compliance with manufacturer requirements, warranty standards, and internal operational guidelines
- Oversee warranty administration processes to ensure timely, accurate claim submission and reimbursement optimization
- Foster a culture focused on delivering a best-in-class customer experience, resolving escalated customer concerns when necessary
- Work closely with sales leadership to support reconditioning, PDI processes, and overall inventory readiness
- Monitor and manage departmental budgets, expenses, and resource allocation across multiple locations
- Leverage reporting tools and dealership systems to analyze performance trends and make data-driven decisions
- Lead regular performance reviews and operational audits at each location to ensure adherence to standards and continuous improvement
- Support expansion efforts by helping onboard and integrate additional locations into the fixed operations structure as needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a fixed operations leadership role (Service, Parts, or Fixed Ops Director level) within a dealership environment
- Multi rooftop or regional oversight experience strongly preferred
- RV industry experience highly preferred; candidates from adjacent dealership models (automotive, powersports, marine, heavy equipment) will be considered
- Proven track record of driving performance across service and parts departments, including improvements in profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Strong understanding of fixed operations KPIs, including but not limited to, absorption rate, technician productivity/efficiency, and parts inventory management
- Experience leading, developing, and holding accountable department managers and frontline teams across multiple locations
- Demonstrated ability to implement processes, standardize operations, and drive consistency across rooftops
- Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and CRM platforms, with the ability to use reporting and data to drive operational decisions
- Solid understanding of warranty processes, compliance requirements, and reimbursement optimization
- Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, controlling expenses, and contributing to overall store profitability
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization, including ownership and executive leadership
- Hands on leadership style with a willingness to be present in store and engaged with teams as needed
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast paced, multi-location environment
- Prior experience working up through dealership operations (service, parts, and warranty related roles) strongly preferred
