The Opportunity:

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to consistently meet and exceed performance targets while maintaining a high standard of professionalism
  • Establish and enforce a structured, process-driven sales environment to ensure consistency, efficiency, and strong customer outcomes
  • Maintain an active presence on the sales floor, supporting the team and engaging with customers as needed to drive results and ensure a positive experience
  • Drive accountability across all sales activities, including lead management, follow-up, closing ratios, and overall pipeline performance
  • Partner closely with F&I to ensure a smooth, transparent transition from sale to delivery, maintaining a seamless customer experience
  • Oversee inventory strategy in collaboration with leadership, ensuring proper unit mix, aging control, and alignment with market demand
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, using data to identify opportunities, address gaps, and improve overall effectiveness
  • Recruit, hire, and retain top sales talent, building a team capable of performing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ensure that all customer interactions—from initial inquiry through delivery and post-sale follow-up—are handled professionally, supporting long-term retention and referral business
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales strategy with broader business objectives and operational goals
  • Maintain a strong understanding of product offerings, competitive landscape, and industry trends within the RV space
  • Uphold dealership standards for presentation, merchandising, and overall showroom experience

Qualifications:
  • 3–5+ years of experience as a GSM within an RV dealership environment, or similar big-ticket retail setting with transferable leadership experience (Marine, luxury automotive, Powersports, etc.)
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a high performing sales team in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • Demonstrated success driving sales performance through structure, accountability, and consistent execution of process
  • Strong understanding of the full sales lifecycle, including lead management, follow-up, closing, delivery, and post-sale engagement
  • Experience working closely with F&I to ensure efficient deal flow, compliance, and a seamless customer experience, ideally with an ability to cover the desk in absence of the F&I Manager
  • Working knowledge of inventory management, including unit mix, aging, and turn strategies within a dealership setting
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and CRM platforms, with the ability to utilize data to drive performance and decision making
  • Financial acumen, with experience forecasting sales performance and contributing to overall store profitability
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams, manage conflict, and drive accountability
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Customer focused mindset, with a commitment to delivering a positive and consistent experience that supports retention and referral business
  • RV industry experience is strongly preferred, with a solid understanding of dealership operations and customer expectations within the space
