The Sales Manager for this Great lakes location in the upper Midwest will lead all aspects of the dealership’s sales operations. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales team to achieve and exceed revenue and gross margin targets
  • Recruit, hire, train, and manage Sales Consultants, Sales Coordinators, and related team members
  • Establish sales goals, quotas, and performance metrics while holding the team accountable for results
  • Actively participate in the sales process, assisting with customer interactions, product demonstrations, and closing deals
  • Manage pricing, deal structure, and commission approvals to ensure profitability and compliance
  • Oversee inventory management to optimize product mix, turnover, and minimize aged inventory
  • Analyze sales performance and prepare reports to identify trends and opportunities for growth
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute promotional strategies, including digital advertising and boat shows
  • Maintain strong interdepartmental communication with service, finance, and operations teams
  • Ensure a professional showroom environment and support merchandising and display standards
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences to drive strategic decisions
  • Coordinate and participate in off-site events, boat shows, and promotional activities

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of sales management experience in marine, powersports, RV, automotive, or related industries
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth and achieving profitability targets
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with experience developing high-performing sales teams
  • Hands-on sales leader with the ability to coach, mentor, and close deals
  • Experience managing inventory, pricing strategy, and sales forecasting
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic business decisions
