The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager to oversee and grow daily sales operations while helping lead a dynamic dealership team in a fast paced, customer driven environment. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high performing sales team focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience and achieving dealership sales objectives
- Work closely with the Dealer Principal to drive overall dealership performance, profitability, and operational consistency
- Assist in overseeing all aspects of the sales operation, including desking deals and helping maximize front end and back end gross opportunities
- Provide support and coverage for the F&I process as needed, ensuring customers receive a seamless and professional purchasing experience from start to finish
- Monitor and manage departmental performance metrics, sales activity, and closing ratios to help drive continuous improvement
- Recruit, interview, onboard, and mentor sales staff while helping foster a positive, accountable, and performance driven culture
- Train and develop team members on sales strategy, product knowledge, CRM usage, customer engagement, and dealership processes
- Help establish, enforce, and refine dealership sales processes and operational best practices to improve efficiency and consistency
- Review and analyze dealership financial performance, including departmental P&L reporting, inventory performance, and profitability metrics
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers while assisting in resolving escalated customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Partner with other dealership departments to support operational alignment and ensure a strong overall customer experience
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, financing procedures, manufacturer standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
- Assist in inventory management, merchandising strategy, and maintaining a strong and clean presentation of dealership inventory and sales areas
- Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, urgency, and a customer first mindset in daily operations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of Sales Management or Sales Leadership experience strongly preferred within a dealership environment
- RV industry experience is strongly preferred; however, strong candidates from automotive, powersports, marine, heavy equipment, or other commission-driven sales environments will be considered
- Strong individual sales professionals with a proven track record of performance and demonstrated leadership potential will also be considered
- Evidence of leadership ability through mentorship, accountability, communication skills, and overall professional presence is highly valued
- Experience desking deals and supporting F&I operations is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of dealership operations, sales processes, customer engagement, and performance management
- DMS experience is required; experience with dealership CRM platforms and lead management systems is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop sales professionals within a fast-paced and goal-oriented environment
- Customer focused mindset with strong communication and organizational skills in a high-energy environment
