Marine Technician

The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Marine Technician to join our growing Service Department. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, rigging, and maintaining a variety of marine engines and boat systems while delivering exceptional customer service. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a highly experienced team with over 100 years of combined certified technician expertise in the marine industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repair on outboard and inboard marine engines
- Complete preventative maintenance and seasonal services, including winterization and de-winterization
- Conduct warranty repairs and insurance-related repair work
- Install and rig marine electronics, trolling motors, and accessories
- Perform fiberglass repairs, prop repairs, and general boat refurbishing
- Assist with lake calls and on-site service requests when needed
- Conduct boat inspections and appraisals
- Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate repair recommendations to customers
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer standards
Qualifications:
- Previous marine technician or related mechanical experience preferred
- Marine certifications are a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver’s license required
- Welding or fiberglass repair experience is a plus
