The Opportunity:
The Composites Manager will provide leadership and oversight for the composites manufacturing operation, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of composite tooling and components. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a growing team within a rapidly expanding organization while driving operational excellence, workforce development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily operations within the composites manufacturing department.
- Hire, train, develop, and staff personnel to support production requirements and future growth.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain production schedules, workflow efficiency, and quality objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance.
- Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Ensure products are manufactured to customer specifications and quality standards.
- Support strategic planning and resource allocation to meet business objectives.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and results-driven work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, composites, tooling, or production management environments.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and employee development skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to effectively engage employees at all levels.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to support company growth and operational success.
- Composites manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
