Sales Floor Manager
The Opportunity:
The Sales Floor Manager is responsible for leading the daily activities of a high-performing sales team while driving revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. This position will work closely with dealership leadership to coach and develop sales associates, support customer interactions, and ensure a seamless sales process from initial engagement through delivery. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership, sales management, and customer relationship skills, along with experience utilizing CRM systems and dealership sales processes. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day activities of the sales floor, ensuring sales associates deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high levels of customer engagement.
- Collaborate with dealership leadership to drive overall sales performance and support achievement of revenue objectives.
- Support sales associates throughout the sales process, from initial customer interaction through closing and delivery.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve individual and dealership sales goals.
- Monitor showroom traffic, lead distribution, and customer follow-up efforts to maximize sales conversion opportunities.
- Execute sales initiatives, promotions, and performance improvement strategies in partnership with dealership leadership.
- Ensure all customer interactions, sales opportunities, and follow-up activities are accurately documented within the CRM system.
- Assist with inventory presentation, merchandising, and product knowledge initiatives to support sales success.
- Foster strong communication and collaboration with Finance & Insurance, Service, Parts, Operations, and Accounting departments.
- Conduct regular sales meetings, training sessions, and role-playing exercises to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness.
- Lead by example by maintaining professional sales practices and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
- Support employee onboarding, coaching, performance management, and professional development activities.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, procedures, and established sales processes.
- Analyze sales performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary to achieve dealership objectives.
- Maintain a positive, customer-focused culture that supports long-term customer loyalty and dealership success.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of sales experience within marine, powersports, automotive, RV, or related vehicle industries required.
- Previous experience leading, coaching, or mentoring a sales team preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and performance targets.
- Strong customer service, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and dealership management software.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze sales data and develop action plans to improve performance.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- High school diploma required; additional education, training, or certifications are preferred.
