The Opportunity:

As the Business Development Manager, you'll be at the forefront of developing new revenue opportunities through dealer and distributor expansion, strategic partnerships, OEM business development, and new market creation. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify, onboard, and grow relationships with tactical gear dealers, distributors, and strategic retail partners across the United States.
  • Drive both sell-in (B2B) and sell-through (B2C) performance through collaborative business planning, merchandising, marketing initiatives, and channel development strategies.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, promotional programs, and long term agreements while protecting brand integrity and maximizing profitable growth.
  • Develop and cultivate strategic partnerships with complementary brands to execute joint marketing initiatives, cross promotions, co-branded programs, and other revenue generating opportunities.
  • Build and expand OEM business by identifying, developing, and managing relationships with manufacturers and industry partners seeking tactical gear design and manufacturing solutions.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with Product Development, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain to successfully launch initiatives, support OEM partners, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
  • Identify new geographic, channel, and vertical market opportunities, while providing actionable market intelligence on competitors, customer needs, and emerging industry trends.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, customer meetings, and networking functions to strengthen brand awareness and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and account performance metrics while tracking key performance indicators including new account acquisition, channel growth, OEM revenue, and partnership effectiveness.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of success in business development, channel sales, account management, or strategic partnerships, preferably within the tactical gear, firearms, law enforcement, military, outdoor, sporting goods, or defense-related industries.
  • Proven track record of developing dealer/distributor networks, opening new markets, and driving measurable revenue growth.
  • Experience building OEM partnerships, contract manufacturing relationships, or other strategic B2B business opportunities is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of B2B2C sales dynamics, including dealer sell-in and consumer sell-through strategies.
  • Well-connected within the tactical, firearms, outdoor, or adjacent commercial markets, with the ability to quickly establish credibility and develop lasting business relationships.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating strategic agreements, pricing, and long term commercial partnerships.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities, develop innovative growth strategies, and execute with minimal oversight.
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, and relationship building skills, including experience representing a company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar systems.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States, with occasional international travel as business needs require.
