The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a Sales & Business Manager to oversee the day to day sales and finance operations of one of its growing dealership locations. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this highly visible hybrid role combines Sales Management, Finance & Insurance, and customer facing sales responsibilities into one rewarding opportunity. The Sales & Business Manager will desk deals, structure financing, present F&I products, complete transaction paperwork, support and coach the sales team, and personally assist customers throughout the sales process when needed. While strategic inventory management and broader departmental oversight remain centralized, this individual will serve as the on-site leader responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, maximizing front and back end profitability, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day to day sales and finance operations of an assigned dealership location, ensuring an exceptional customer experience from initial inquiry through vehicle delivery.
  • Serve as the primary on-site resource for daily sales and finance operations, ensuring timely decision-making, consistent customer communication, and seamless coordination between the sales and finance processes.
  • Desk deals by structuring transactions, reviewing pricing, evaluating trade values, and working collaboratively with the sales team to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.
  • Present finance and insurance products, secure lender approvals, present F&I products and protection packages, prepare required documentation, and ensure all transactions are completed accurately, compliantly, and efficiently.
  • Manage the complete sales documentation process, ensuring contracts, disclosures, funding packages, title work, and related paperwork are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Support, coach, and mentor Sales Consultants throughout the sales process by providing guidance on deal structure, negotiation strategies, objection handling, closing techniques, and customer relationship management.
  • Personally assist customers as an overflow Sales Professional during peak traffic periods or whenever additional sales support is needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders and finance partners while identifying financing solutions that best serve the customer and the dealership.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership to execute sales strategies, improve operational performance, and support continued dealership growth.
  • Monitor key sales and finance performance metrics, proactively identifying opportunities to improve closing ratios, finance penetration, profitability, customer satisfaction, and overall department performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, lender requirements, federal and state regulations, and ethical business practices.
  • Foster a professional, customer-focused, and team-oriented culture built on accountability, communication, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of dealership operations.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a dealership Sales Manager, Business Manager, Finance Manager (F&I), General Sales Manager, or similar sales and/or finance leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience desking deals, structuring transactions, negotiating terms, and maximizing both front end and back end gross profit.
  • Proven experience presenting finance and insurance products, securing lender approvals, and completing compliant deal documentation from contract through funding.
  • RV dealership experience strongly preferred; candidates from automotive, powersports, marine, agricultural, heavy equipment, or other dealership environments will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of dealership sales processes, finance operations, lender relationships, compliance requirements, and customer-focused selling techniques.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and supporting Sales Consultants while fostering a positive, performance-driven team culture.
  • Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with direct customer interaction, including personally assisting with vehicle sales when business demands require.
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS), CRM platforms, lender portals, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with customers, lenders, and coworkers alike.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented professional capable of thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented dealership environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
