Electrical Engineer

Location - Wisconsin (Not a remote opportunity, relocation assistance available)

The boats are designed for all-day use with convenient overnight recharging. With plans to manufacture the boats in Wisconsin, the company is redefining sustainable marine transportation.

The Opportunity:

Join our dynamic team at a cutting-edge boat manufacturing company in Southeast Wisconsin as an Electrical Engineer. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our development initiatives, contributing to product design, testing, fabrication, and software support. You'll be involved in both low and high voltage aspects of product development, ensuring our boats remain at the forefront of innovation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert electrical engineering support across various teams including boat design, powertrain, electronics, and software.
  • Drive general electrical engineering activities, encompassing hardware development, software integration, and implementation.
  • Facilitate seamless integration of electrical, mechanical, and software systems to optimize overall performance.
  • Act as a central point of coordination between mechanical, electrical hardware, and software engineering teams.
  • Support both lab-based and on-water vessel testing, potentially requiring occasional travel.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and contribute to test execution, generating detailed weekly test reports.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to identify and evaluate potential suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management, ensuring project success and team efficiency.
  • Fulfill ad-hoc tasks as directed by management to meet evolving project needs.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical engineering post-undergrad, or 2 years post-MBA, preferably within a relevant industry.
  • Proven track record of presenting technical information effectively to senior executive audiences.
  • Experience leading business cases and driving data-driven projects to successful outcomes.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable individual with strong judgment and reliability, capable of initiating and driving projects independently.
