The Opportunity:
Our client is hiring an Assistant General Manager to help oversee day to day operations at a thriving RV dealership in the Nashville region. This is a hands-on leadership role, to support all departments and work closely with the General Manager to align daily execution with broader business goals. The ideal candidate is consistently present on the floor, highly engaged with staff and customers, and displays confidence in leading teams, solving problems, and driving performance. The ideal candidate will also have experience across multiple departments in the dealership setting. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day dealership operations, working closely with the General Manager and department heads to ensure alignment with business goals
- Maintain oversight and involvement across all departments: Sales, Service, Parts, and F&I; supporting staff, rectifying issues, and promoting effective collaboration
- Monitor storewide performance and ensure departments meet or exceed financial targets, customer service standards, and operational benchmarks
- Assist in forecasting, planning, and managing financial performance, including inventory, staffing, and expense control
- Ensure proper execution of dealership processes to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve customer satisfaction
- Monitor KPIs and implement improvements and best practices to drive results across all functions
- Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork through active coaching, support, and presence on the floor
- Lead daily and weekly meetings to align teams, resolve interdepartmental friction, and improve internal communication
- Respond to customer issues and concerns promptly and professionally, working with department staff to maintain long-term satisfaction
- Support recruitment, training, and development of team members to strengthen dealership performance and employee engagement
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of leadership experience in an RV, automotive, or comparable dealership environment
- Solid understanding of retail dealership operations, including Sales, Service, F&I, and Parts
- Proven track record of managing people, driving performance, and supporting business growth
- Comfortable in a hands-on leadership role with active engagement in daily workflows and customer interactions
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics and drive continuous improvement
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day execution
- Able to foster a positive, respectful team environment focused on shared goals and service excellence
