The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Operator II to join their CNC Fabrication Operations team in Troy, AL. This role involves the operation and adjustment of CNC machinery including mills, lathes, and screw machines, while ensuring quality compliance through in-process inspections and equipment troubleshooting. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and adjust CNC machinery to meet production goals
- Conduct First Piece Inspections and ongoing quality checks
- Troubleshoot machine tools and CNC programs during setup and operation
- Lead or support tool selection and fixture development for new products
- Train team members on setup and operation of machining equipment
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 6-9 years of machining experience preferred
- Vocational/Technical degree and Lean/Kaizen/5S experience preferred
- Ability to interpret technical prints and GD&T
- Intermediate knowledge of CNC G-Code and troubleshooting
- Metal Machining with tight tolerance experience
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines and conventional machining equipment
- Must meet ITAR requirements
