The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking an experienced CNC Operator III to join their CNC Fabrication Operations team in Troy, AL. This senior-level role requires proficiency in CNC setup, programming, and operation of 2-5 axis machines. The Operator III will also mentor junior technicians and ensure quality production through expert troubleshooting and continuous process improvement. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Execute setup and programming for CNC Mills, Lathes, and screw machines
  • Operate multi-axis CNC machines using SolidWorks, Mastercam, and similar tools
  • Mentor CNC technicians and oversee training within the machining department
  • Develop standard work procedures, setup sheets, and tooling specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to maintain high productivity and tight tolerances
  • Perform quality assurance checks using gauges, indicators, and optical systems

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 10–15 years of CNC milling and/or turning experience
  • Metal Machining with tight tolerance experience
  • Working knowledge of Fanuc Programming and Macro B
  • Proficiency in interpreting GD&T and CNC G-code
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, and Turn-Mill operations preferred
  • Must meet ITAR requirements
